The initial reason for developing the jQuizShow was to fill a desire to have
a game show-like program that can be used in a youth group environment.
Some of its requirements was to be easy to use, to be easy to add
questions, and finally to provide a familiar game show experience to the
players and the audience.
Development really began in April 2001. It received its public
debut in November of that year as jQuizShow (Alpha 0.9). It was
decided to provide the jQuizShow to the public as a SourceForge.net project
in March 2002.
